Relationships nowadays (especially at my age) are pretty crappy. There's statistics that prove it. 57% of men have admitted to having an emotional or physical affair during any relationship. That means that out of every couple in the us, about 35 million men have cheated on their wives. Just goes to show how faithful men are these days.

But what about women? How often do they cheat? Well, they aren't so different. 54% of women have admitted to having an emotional or physical affair during any relationship. So in reality, men and women are pretty equal on how often they cheat.
Another question this brings up is, what compels men and women to cheat? I believe that relationships should only happen between people that are tied on a deeper emotional level and that there's trust between the two individuals. Infatuation shouldn't be the cause of a relationship. I guess you could say that I don't believe in love at first sight. Because, the person I could possibly see one day that I find beautiful and attractive could end up being a very repulsive person in terms of their personality or their attitude.
To conclude this very different blog post, relationships are a very important bond between people that shouldn't be taken for granted and abused through cheating and affairs. Those individuals need to learn to love each other and to have trust in each other.

I think that this is a good idea, everyone needs to know that this is a horrible thing. Every form of cheating is bad, there's always gonna be consequences and a lot of people don't understand how bad it can get. In your following blogs, are you going to be talking about the consequences of said form of cheating? This could help a lot of people.
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question Corinne, yes. I will continue with the subject of love and my personal opinions on why love is too important to be played with like in the case of cheating on a significant other. I guess this blog topic could help some people's future loves if they retain any information.
DeleteHey matt! great post. I love the topic you've chosen to write about. I also like the lay out of your blog. very cool keel up the good work, i look forward to reading more
ReplyDeleteSo now we're going into cheating in love now? Cool. Pretty crazy how I enjoy reading on the life of other's and their problems, like how they dealt with being cheated on.
ReplyDeleteI always knew that relationships at our age are pretty lame. They're like: ''Oh, we is so in love'', next week or something and they break up. Really? If that's what teenagers call love, that's crazy. That's insane. Now they're like: ''Don't worry, it was for experience''. Yeah, like what? A week of being infatuated? Crazy. Sure you can say, that they'll learn from their mistakes, but do you really think they will? Don't understand kids these days.
Also, I found it nice(?) that it is proven that both gender cheat evenly. So, the stereotypes of saying that only the male or only the female will cheat in a relationship are debunked/proven wrong. Dang, statistics do matter.
Seriously, this post hit me hard in the feels. Keep up the good work!
Yeah, at first I wanted this blog to be solely on cheating in a sportive kind of context but I really wanted to widen my possibilities on posts and I wanted to make sure that my post we're more and more surprises. Because after all, I want to make sure that my readers keep on coming back for more!
DeleteHey matt do you think we should base all men on these statistics taken cause as we all know people are not all the same and I do not find we should be basing every guy on the small statistics because who knows on how many people they took the statistics off of thank you for the read!
ReplyDeleteWell what about the women Brian? The point of this post was to point out the differences and similarities between cheating in men and women. With what you just said, you're saying that we shouldn't base all men on the stats but the women don't matter? Next time, I'd reconsider commenting.
DeleteHey Matt, I just read your last post and I really enjoyed it. It shocked me to find out that 57 percent of guys cheat on their partners. It's crazy that over half of us would do something like this. Also, while this post might not have been completely related to the subject of your blog I think that it was good you wrote about it.
ReplyDeleteWell that's the thing Bolton. I wanted to broaden my blog topic so I can have more to talk about to make sure that my readers never get bored with my blog posts. This post is entirely related to the subject of my blog as the subject of my blog is cheating. If this isn't related to cheating then, I don't know what is.
DeleteI really appreciate that you wrote about this because it happens so much in our society these days. I agree with Bolton when he said that he was shocked that 57% of guys cheat and 54% of girls cheat. You changing your blog to a lot more cheating related things was a good idea. People don't really think of the consequences when they do things like this do they? It's a shame because when people cheat, they could be losing someone really great. I would hate to have that happen.
